I currently run a thriving music teaching practice from my home, welcoming pupils of all ages and levels.
I have over 30 years teaching experience am a Fellow of the UK's professional body for musicians: Incorporated Society of Musicians with an enhanced DBS check.
I am a classically trained pianist who graduated from the Royal College of Music with an honours degree and teaching diploma. I then went on to complete a masters degree at Surrey University.
Teaching has always been my passion and the focus of my music career, which has included accompaniment, performance and running music workshops. My other passion, composing, has recently become a central part of my career with a wide portfolio of publications and commissions from ABRSM and Trinity College London. I co-founded the UK wide composition festival, Compose Yourself!

I tailor lessons to meet pupils individual needs. My aim is to encourage pupils to develop at their own pace and reach their personal goals. I provide tuition in the following areas:
- Preparation for ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall exams, including Jazz
- Theory
- Composition
- Aural training
- Performance opportunities at Festivals and informal concerts
- Preparation for performance and teaching diplomas
Terms and Conditions
I always like to meet prospective pupils and parents, as it is important that we feel comfortable with each other.

- Lessons are payable in advance for a half term (children) or a month (adults).
- Fees are paid by the due date or first lesson.
- Lessons cancelled cannot be refunded or credited unless an agreed absence has been made before the start of the invoice period.
- Lessons cancelled by myself will be refunded or credited to the following invoice.
- Please be advised that if fees remain unpaid by the end of invoice period I will offer the slot to a pupil on my waiting list.
- One half terms notice is required if a pupil wishes to leave my studio.
